This magnificent instrument was made by master luthier, Omar Olague in April 2023. It is in his "Alta Gama" category which is his premium line, made of select materials. The back and sides are made of highly flamed Tzalam wood, also known as Caribbean Walnut. The neck and filete are made of curly maple. High quality Tacote wood is used for the top. The fingerboard is made out of an eye-catching flamed Katalox, also known as Mexican Royal Ebony. The headstock is made of curly Maple with a beautiful Chakte Viga wood veneer. The vihuela's bridge is made of Purpleheart wood and the rosette features an original design pieced with maple, stained maple, and abalone shell. Apart from all of the high quality woods used, this vihuela also features Schaller Grand Tune geared tuners for a more precise tuning experience. All in all, this is a one of a kind premium instrument that will satisfy your eyes and ears. Includes a hard case.
