This one of a kind, Collector's Edition vihuela was made by master luthier Omar Olague from San Luis, Potosi, Mexico. This amazing instrument was crafted using the finest materials available using master building techniques. The back and sides are precisely pieced together using highly flamed Curly Maple and it's bridge is made from Red Mahogany. The top is made using the highest quality, private reserve Tacote wood. The rosette was assembled piece by piece using stained Maple and natural Cedar. A vibrant colored abalone shell was used to make the 7-point star on the rosette. The vihuela's neck is made with a flamed Honduran Mahogany and features an African Ebony strip down the neck. The African Ebony fingerboard is a very luxurious touch that adds elegance to this incredible instrument. The headstock features a unique cut-out design and Abalone shell logo inlay that is exclusive to Olague Collector's Edition instruments. To top it all off, the tuning gears are German engineered by Barnett Tuning Machines valued at over $500. An Olague hard case is included.
