The guitarra de golpe was the original partner of the vihuela before the Spanish, classical guitar made an appearance in the Mariachi. It has slowly been making a comeback, but with very little knowledge on what the tunings and chords were. Now we have the most complete chord book available today thanks to the tremendous work and research of guitarra de golpe player, Christopher Burr of Nogales, Arizona. The book is available for two out of the three tunings known:
Urbana and Michoacán.
